Court Remands Man Over Alleged Armed Robbery

A Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, State of Osun capital, has remanded a 27-year-old man, Ibrahim Lukuman, in Ilesha prison, for allegedly snatching one Techo D8 handset valued at N13,000.
Prosecutor Joshua Oladoye, told the court that the accused committed the alleged offence on June 6, 2018 at about 10pm at B-top filling station, Osunjela area, Osogbo.
He alleged that the accused robbed one Komolafe Samson of his Techo D8 handset of N13,000, at gunpoint.
Oladoye also added that the accused armed himself with dangerous weapons and robbed one Alabi Precious a cash sum of N32,600.
The Prosecutor posited that the offence contravened the provision of section 1(2)(a)(b) of the Robbery and Firearms Special Provisions Act Cap R11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The plea of the accused was not taken as he had no legal representative.
In his ruling, Magistrate  Awodele Adedoyin, ordered that the accused be remanded at Ilesa prison and adjourned the case to October 10 for mention.
