Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, State of Osun presided over by the Chief Magistrate, Olushola Aluko has remanded a 23-year-old man, Adeniyi Damilare for alleged armed robbery.
The prosecutor, Mr. Olu Abodunrin said, the accused alongside four others now at large, allegedly robbed a student hostel on the 27th of February around 8:30 pm in Ipetumodu.
According to the charge sheet, the suspect was armed with dangerous weapon with which he robbed the victims, an offence contrary to section 390 of the state criminal code.
The plea of the suspect was not taken due to the nature of the offence and place of committal.
Although, the accused person was represented in court by Mr. Jimmy Jones, he was refused bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Olusola Aluko in his ruling said “The accused person should be remanded in Ile- Ife prison”
“The officer in charge should duplicate his case file and send it to the office of Directorate of Public Prosecution for advice immediately.
The magistrate who ordered that the case be transferred to Ipetumodu for prosecution, adjourned the case till 10th of April for mention.
