Abubakar Adaji, a 42-year-old plumber from Galadimawa village, Abuja, has been remanded in prison by the Dutse Magistrates’ Court.
The police charged Adaji with joint act, cheating, and theft.
According to the prosecuting counsel, Babajide Olanipekun, Adaji conspired with two others at large to cheat Abah Martins of cement worth N1.6 million in 2023. Adaji and his accomplices allegedly ordered 60 bags of cement from Martins’ shop in Guidna village on August 31, with the intention of paying after delivery, but were caught.
