The Osun State Police Command has arraigned a 32 years-old Saheed Ganiyu before an Osogbo Magistrate Court for burglary and stealing.
The accused person committed the offence on the March 12, 2017, at Aduramigba area of Ofatedo Osogbo.
The charge sheet disclosed that the accused broke into the dwelling house of one Adebisi Olalekan with intent to commit felony to wit stealing and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 411 (1) (2) laws of Osun State Nigeria 2003.
The charge sheet disclosed that the accused person stole one Infinix phone with sim card number 0806828514 valued N50,000, cash sum of N5,000 properties of Adebisi Olalekan, an offence contrary to and punishable under section 390 (a) laws of the state
It further disclosed that the suspect unlawfully and maliciously damaged one Toyota car with Reg. No. LND 317 DDM with intent to commit felony and thereby committed an offence contrary to an punishable under section 509 of the state criminal law.
The charge sheet disclosed that the accused person stole one flash drive, and the sum of N5,000 property of Odebiyi Idowu and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 390 (a) Laws of Osun Nigeria 2003.
The accused person, who was not represented by counsel, pleaded not guilty to the five-count charge, leveled against him.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Fagboyinbo Abiodun asked the court to deny the accused person bail due to the nature of his offences and his records before the court.
The presiding Magistrate A.A. Olowolagba ordered that the accused person should be remanded in Ilesa prison custody and adjourned the case till January 31, 2018.
