For fraudulently obtaining three kegs of groundnut oil and one and half bag of beans belonging to Omolara Ayinde, a 39-year-old woman, Simiat Azeez has appeared before an Osogbo Magistrate Court.
She was docked before Magistrate M. A Awodele on a two-count charge bothering on fraud and stealing.
The prosecutor, Inspector Jafani Muslim told the court that the suspect committed the offence in February at 51, Olatunji Ajayi Street, Oke Onitea, Osogbo.
He explained that the accused person fraudulently obtained three kegs of groundnut oil worth N24,000 and one and half bag of beans worth N25,000.
Jafani added that the defendant stole three kegs of groundnut oil and one half bag of beans, all the items valued N49,000 property of Omolara Ayinde.
Jafani said that, the offence contravenes section 419, section 383 and section 390 (9) of the criminal code cap 34 volume 11.laws of Osun State 2003.
Simiat who had no legal representation pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge brought against her.
The Magistrate granted her bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties.
She said sureties must sworn to affidavit of means and provide evidence of tax payments and two passports sized photographs to the court. The address should be verified by the police.
The case was adjourned to April 24 for hearing.
