The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ekiti State, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has described the judgment of the Federal High Court in Abuja directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to accept and publish his name as the party’s duly elected candidate for the 2026 gubernatorial election as a victory for the people of Ekiti State.

Oluyede made the remark in Ado-Ekiti in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Gani Salau, noting that the court ruling met the expectations of the people of the state.

He described the judgment as a welcome development that would enable his team to concentrate fully on the forthcoming campaign.

The PDP candidate urged residents of the state, irrespective of political affiliation, to support efforts to end Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration through the ballot on June 20.

Oluyede assured that his campaign would focus on issues and policies aimed at transforming Ekiti State and improving the welfare of its people.
