The sacking of the Emeka Beke-led executive of the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State has been nullified by a Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt.
According to Justice Sika Aprioku, who presided over the court on Monday afternoon, the National Working Committee of the APC erred in dissolving an elected executive led by Emeka Beke.
Justice Aprioku stated that the APC NWC does not have the power to dissolve an elected executive of a state nor set up a caretaker committee when the tenure of the elected executive is still running.
