The Abuja Federal high court sitting has ordered the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to stay action on its decision to suspend the Adamawa State Executive Committee, pending a judicial review on the outcome of the party’s National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting which held on August 12.
Justice Binta Nyako granted the offer sequel to a suit filed by aggrieved members of the dissolved executive committee.
The suit has Abdulrahman Bobboi, Ziratumba Digwe, Albetha Gangkero and Shehu Jacob as the plaintiff, while the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, are the respondents.
The court’s decision is premised on the fact that the PDP NEC took a decision on Adamawa executive committee despite the existence of a pending court order on the matter.
