COVID-19: Osun Councillorship Aspirant, Lawal Lukman Distributes Face Masks, Sanitizers In Eripa

 

The virus that causes COVID-19 is mainly transmitted through droplets generated when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or exhales. These droplets are too heavy to hang in the air, and quickly fall on floors or surfaces.

One can be infected by breathing in the virus if you are within close proximity of someone who has COVID-19, or by touching a contaminated surface and then your eyes, nose or mouth.

Secretary for youth Boluwaduro Local Government, Lukman Tunde Lawal in part of his efforts to protect residents of his LGA against coronavirus pandemic donated face masks, and hand sanitizers to his people in Ward 07, Eripa, Boluwaduro local government.

Lukman Tunde on Sunday stormed his ward with hand sanitizers and face masks disreputed to people of Eripa Boluwaduro local government.

Lukman said his gesture was to avoid escalating community transmission.

According to him “We must restate that COVID-19 is real and we have resolved to do our best to avoid loss of any more lives to the virus. It is this conviction that has informed our Government’s strategic response to this pandemic so far.

“I must place on record the steadfastness of all health workers and volunteers for their unprecedented commitment to duty and sacrifice in arresting the spread of this much-dreaded COVID-19 pandemic. Your collective sacrifice will never be in vain.” he added
.
However he ureged Citizens to observe protocols as social distancing, hand-washing and wearing of masks at all times in public places. Defaulters shall be sanctioned accordingly.

We have been our brother’s keeper to give this dreaded virus a fight, made concerted efforts to heal our land and save our people.
