The Osun State police command has arraigned one Taofeek Popoola, 20, before a magistrate court in Osogbo over alleged armed robbery.
Taofeek was docked on three count charges and has no legal representation.
The prosecutor Sergent Temitope Fatoba told the court that the suspect committed the offence on April 1, 2018 at Iyaloja area, in Osogbo.
Fatoba said the accused person, armed with a gun and robbed one Mr Adebisi Opeyemi of his Bajaj Boxer motorcycle with registration number BKN 656QC valued N220, 000.
He also stated that the defendant unlawfully have a possession of one cut to size gun, without license or authority.
Sergent Fatoba further explained that the suspect unlawfully had possession of three live cartridges and one expended cartridge that the accused person could not give satisfactory account without lawful authority.
He submitted that the offence contravenes section 27(1)(b)(ii) of the Firearms Act Cap F.28 laws of the federation of Nigeria 2004.
The plea of the accused person was not taken due to the nature of the crime committed.
The magistrate, Mrs O.A Oloyade ordered the accused persons to be remanded in Ilesha prison custody.
The case was adjourned to June 17, 2018.
