The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has repeatedly emphasized the importance of tanker safety inspections.
Tankers are not permitted to load without undergoing strict safety checks, yet concerns over the increasing number of tanker-related accidents persist.
This comes on the heels of a tragic explosion in Majia, Jigawa State, on October 15, where a petrol-laden truck traveling from Kano to Nguru in Yobe State exploded, causing a lot of deadly casualties.
Authorities continue to warn the public about the dangers of tampering with fuel tankers, especially after such accidents, as the risk of explosion remains high.
