Davido Unfollows Iyabo Ojo After She Accused Him Of Chasing Clout On Mohbad’s Case
Nigerian music star Davido has unfollowed actress Iyabo Ojo on Instagram following the leak of a WhatsApp conversation where she accused him of using late singer Mohbad’s death to chase clout.
The conversation, shared on Instagram by social media critic VeryDarkMan, revealed Iyabo Ojo expressing disappointment in Davido for continuing to follow Naira Marley despite publicly supporting the call for justice for Mohbad.
She was quoted as saying, “My problem is not even the black whatever, it is Davido who flew down like he claimed to fight for justice, but he still dey follow Naira Marley. That means he was chasing clout. I’m so disappointed and to think he has been saying he is the only superstar artist who stood by Mohbad. Just fake love 001.”
Checks by OSUN DEFENDER showed that while Davido has unfollowed the actress, Iyabo Ojo still follows him on Instagram.
Mohbad died in 2023 under controversial circumstances, sparking nationwide protests demanding justice.
Davido, alongside other celebrities like Falz and Zlatan, attended a candlelight procession in his honour.
Iyabo Ojo, who led the ‘Justice for Mohbad’ campaign and created a WhatsApp group for the cause, later expressed regret in an interview over advocating for the late singer’s exhumation.
