Davido’s Wife Chioma Returns To Social Media, Pays Emotional Tribute To Late Son Ifeanyi
Wife of Nigerian Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, Chioma Rowland, has returned to social media nearly three years after the tragic loss of her first child, Ifeanyi.
Chioma, who had stayed away from online platforms since the drowning incident that claimed her three-year-old son in 2022 at the family’s Banana Island residence, reappeared in the early hours of Thursday, 21st August, 2025.
In her comeback post on Instagram, she shared pictures from her recent wedding ceremony with Davido in Miami, Florida, while penning a heartfelt tribute to her late son.
In an emotional message, she wrote: “My best friend walked with me into forever. Ify, you are on my mind and you live in my heart, always and forever, love, Mummy.”
The post immediately stirred reactions from fans and well-wishers who had long awaited her return, many of whom expressed solidarity with her journey of healing.
Meanwhile, Davido, during the Miami wedding, publicly vowed to remain faithful to Chioma, a declaration that has since drawn attention across social media.
Media personality, Shade Ladipo, while reacting, urged Nigerians to pray for the singer to stay true to his pledge, stressing that loyalty and commitment demand discipline and effort.
According to Ladipo, Davido’s sincerity was evident, but she warned that faithfulness in marriage requires consistency.
She described the couple’s union as admirable, noting that their love story, despite past tragedies, continues to inspire many.
