Former Nigerian Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon has dismissed the rumor of his death, stating that he is not in a hurry to meet his maker.
According to information gathered by OSUN DEFENDER, the 88-year-old was said to be in London at the time when the unfounded rumor began to circulate rapidly throughout Nigeria media space.
In a brief message by his media aide, Adeyeye Ajayi, Gowon was quoted as saying, “I am still around and well. I am not in a hurry.”
