Delegates Will Decide ADC Presidential Candidate – Atiku’s Aide
Delegates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) will determine the party’s presidential candidate at the right time, according to Paul Ibe, media aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Ibe stated this on Wednesday while stressing that there was nothing wrong with top politicians in the ADC expressing their desire to contest for the presidency.
In a Facebook post, he accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of worsening the living conditions of Nigerians, adding that the coalition within the ADC was angry at the government’s failure.
“The ADC Coalition leaders are angry with the mess that Tinubu has made of Nigeria. They’re angry at how the material condition of the average citizen has deteriorated. They’re angry at how Nigerians have become poorer.
“They’re angry at the skyrocketing prices of food. They’re angry that even the minimum wage cannot buy a bag of rice because the Tinubu-led APC administration’s policies have snowballed inflation.
“They’re livid at the worsening insecurity that has left Nigerians at the mercy of terrorists, bandits, kidnappers, and marauding bloodthirsty killers. Their anger is in response to the collective anger of Nigerians who are desirous of a change,” Ibe wrote.
He maintained that the decision on who becomes the party’s flagbearer lies with the delegates, describing the process as democracy in action.
“What is wrong is when you sign up to be president like Tinubu, and your era is marked by incompetence and cluelessness. That is a waste of opportunity,” he added.
