The Nigeria Democratic Congress Party NDCP has taken a swipe at the President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal government for failing to keep to its promises of changing the Nigerian situation three years after taking over.
The party said despite the overwhelming support of Nigerians to the APC administration, what the party in power is doing is below par and making life less bearable for Nigerians.
Dr Johnson Edosomwan, its Founder and Presidential Candidate in a statement to mark the 2018 Democracy Day stressed the need for Buhari’s administration to be more serious and face the myriad of challenges facing the country.
“The current administration like those before it has failed to deliver the dividends of democracy to the ordinary Nigerian”
“ The Democratic setup of the country at this time is structured to favor the political elites and this must be addressed and quickly so too”
“ It is Crystal clear that Nigeria needs new and fresh ideas and our party offered a deviation from the norms that have profited a few at the expense of millions”
Edosomwan identified Insecurity, Herdsmen Killings, Falling Standard of Living, the State of the Economy among other issues plaguing the nation as some of the things the President needs to take decisive steps on.
The NDCP said it is high time the government in power employ drastic steps to improve the lives of Nigerians who voted it to power in 2015.
Edosomwan urged Nigerians to remain patient as the Nigeria Democratic Congress Party is ready to better the lot of the citizenry if voted to power in 2019.
