Democracy Day: Ogun Governorship Aspirant Congratulates Nigerians, Lauds Amosun On Good Governance
An Ogun State Governorship Aspirant, Engr Mayokun Ilo has congratulated Nigerians and the people of the Gateway state on the occasion of Nigeria’s 19th Democracy Day celebration.
He also lauded the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led APC administration for the feat recorded in the last 7 years which has transformed the state.
Ilo who recalled the varying contributions of the Amosun government in bettering the lives of Ogun people noted that its achievements have made Ogun a reference point in the comity of states in the country.

Today, marks another milestone in the annals of our democratic process. Democracy all over the world has proven to be the most sustainable system of government and our dear country, Nigeria is seen to be blessed having gone through nineteen years of uninterrupted democractic governance. In the same vein, the administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun in Ogun State is celebrating seven years of purpose-driven governance.
On this memorable occasion, I extend heartfelt greetings to people of Ogun State in particular, and Nigerians in general for tirelessly steering a democratic system of government despite daunting national challenges. Democracy has given us the most inspiring opportunity to transform Nigeria into the nation we desire. What we celebrate today is an outcome of huge sacrifices made by Nigerians of all walks of life.
Ogun state under the leadership of SIA has become a reference point of excellence among the comity of states through the development-centre policies of the modern day architect of New Ogun, aimed at improving the quality of life of the citizenry.
I also commend the All Progressives Congress led government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari. The administration has shown great courage in stemming the tide of corruption, in construction and reconstruction of our roads, in investment in agriculture for food sustainability, and youth engagement, among others.
Nigeria’s potentials are limitless. I urge the government on this occasion to take advantage of the national and international support it enjoys to reform Nigeria and make the nation great.
I celebrate with all Nigerians for the milestone and urge us to see a glorious nation ahead. Happy Democracy Day!
