Despite a court order stopping the Kano State Government from enforcing the Kano State Emirate Council Repeal Law, Muhammadu Sanusi has been turbaned as the new Emir of Kano for the second time.
The ceremony took place on Friday at the Kano state government house.
Osun Defender had reported that the Kano State House of Assembly, on Thursday, dissolved all four newly created emirate councils in the state.
The dissolution of the affected Emirates was a sequel to deliberations on the floor of the House during plenary.

Also, Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, on Thursday evening, reappointed Lamido Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.
This was coming four years after he was dethroned by a former governor of the state, and current national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Umar Ganduje.
The governor also deposed five emirs appointed by Ganduje and gave them a 48-hour ultimatum to vacate their official residences and palaces.
