As we round up showcasing the story of Development in the Agricultural Sector in Osun under Governor Rauf Aregbesola, we present to you, simple infographs on our achievements so far.

O-BEEF

ü  Construction of Two (2) commercial and Six (6) smallholder 10,000 capacity feedlots on a 78hactares farm.

ü  Trained 57 youths in livestock fattening.

ü  2,200 live stocks fattened so far.

ü  Establishments of Improved genetics programme.

ü  Development of 1 of 4 seed stock farms in Iwo.

ü  Three (3) sites secured and developed for seed stock, breeding farms and fattening of 40,000 live animals.

ü  2,806 OYES Cadets trained in modern agricultural practices.

ü  N40million loan support to Pig farmers’ cooperative society.

ü  Establishment of 78HA of Cattle Hub for 10,000 Cattles.

ü  2,000HA of land secured for additional Cattle hubs.

O-PIG

ü  N40million worth of financial support provided to pig farmers.

ü  N476million loan disbursed to 3,645 pig farmers.

ü  Over 2000 pigs sold by 5 of the Osun Farmers who trained in Germany.

ü  Over 1,000 pugs at the pen.

Osun Quick Impact Intervention Programme (QUIIP 1)

ü  N153million disbursed as loan to farmers.

ü  70 farmers’ co-operative groups supported.

ü  770 families of farmers empowered.

ü  Over 1000 hectares cultivated.

ü  1043 direct jobs created.

Osun Quick Impact Intervention Programme (QUIIP 2)

ü  N600million disbursed to farmers in Conjuction with the Bank of Agriculture (BOA).

ü  4,190 families of farmers empowered to the tune of N600m.

ü  500 Co-operatives Groups of Farmers supported.

ü  5000 directs jobs created.

ü  15,000 Indirect jobs created.
