Controversial singer Gabriel Oche Amanyi, popularly known as Terry G, has claimed that his fame and success in the music industry came from the devil.

The “Akpako Master” made the statement while reacting to rumours of his death in a now-deleted Instagram video.

Speaking in Pidgin English, Terry G dismissed the viral reports, saying his phone had been flooded with calls from concerned fans and friends.

“My phone has been buzzing since morning. People have been calling to check on me that they saw something online saying R.I.P Terry G don die. I beg ooo, whoever is spreading that news should stop. I’m doing very fine. Please stop that, I beg you in the name of God,” he said.

Addressing the controversy surrounding his recent appearance on the Honest Bunch podcast, the singer reaffirmed his earlier statement that he serves the devil, insisting it was not a mistake.

He explained that his rise to fame was not through divine means but through “worldly influences.”

“And also, let me clarify this. There’s another one trending about me serving the devil. Una no know before? Una no know say na the devil I dey serve? Yes, na devil I dey serve. Na devil make me blow,” he added.
