Dino Melaye Reacts To Yahaya Bello’s Remand In Kuje Prison

Former Nigerian Senator Dino Melaye has publicly reacted to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court’s decision to remand ex-Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello in Kuje Correctional Centre.
Bello faces allegations of laundering N110 billion, a case brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)
Justice Maryann Anenih, who is presiding over the case, ruled that Bello remains in custody while awaiting trial.
She adjourned the matter to January 29 and 30, as well as February 25 and 27, 2025.
During this period, the court will also deliberate on Bello’s application for bail.

The remand ruling has generated widespread attention, with many following the case closely as it unfolds.
Dino Melaye, an outspoken critic of Bello’s administration, took to social media on Tuesday to express his views on the development.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), Melaye wrote, “Six years ago, I predicted Yahaya Bello would end up in prison. Today, he will be spending Christmas in Kuje prison. All powers belong to God.”
