Disregard Post About N500k Palliatives, I’m Not Giving Out Money – Aregbesola
Former Osun Governor and the immediate past Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has distanced himself from a social media post claiming he is giving out N500,000 financial support to every Nigerian.
Aregbesola made the clarification in a post via his official Facebook page on Saturday.
OSUN DEFENDER reports that a Facebook page bearing Aregbesola’s name and image promised N500,000 palliative to each applicant to cushion the effect of the economic challenges in the country.
Interested individuals were asked to submit their bank account details and contact number to someone purported to be Aregbesola’s account manager to facilitate disbursement of the funds.
Sharing a screenshot of the fraudulent notice via his verified page, Aregbesola urged the public to disregard it and similar ones.
“Please disregard any posts not originating from the official verified Facebook page,” he said.
