Dollar To Naira Exchange Rate Today, July 2, 2026
The Nigerian naira traded relatively stable against the United States dollar at both the official and parallel foreign exchange markets on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
At the official Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the naira exchanged at approximately ₦1,379.68 to the US dollar, reflecting continued stability in the official market amid the Central Bank of Nigeria’s foreign exchange reforms.
In the parallel market, commonly referred to as the black market, the US dollar was bought at an average rate of ₦1,385 and sold for ₦1,400, according to currency traders.
The gap between the official and parallel market rates remained relatively narrow, suggesting a sustained level of stability in the foreign exchange market. Analysts attribute the trend to improved liquidity in the official market and ongoing efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria to enhance transparency in forex transactions.
Exchange rates in the parallel market may vary across locations and among dealers depending on the volume of transactions and prevailing market conditions
