The perceived tension between music executive, Don Jazzy and Afrobeats superstar Wizkid might have been resolved following their recent social media fallout.
This is just as Don Jazzy publicly expressed his gratitude to Wizkid for endorsing Ayra Starr’s latest album, ‘The Year I Turned 21.’
The Grammy-winning singer had taken to his X (formerly Twitter) account to promote the album, which was released on Friday, by sharing the album cover and streaming link along with the message: “Superstar”.
In response, Don Jazzy reposted Wizkid’s endorsement with a thankful message: “Thanks Big Wiz.”
The feud between the two had previously been fueled by Wizkid’s reaction to a post from Ladipoe, a signee under Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records, who appeared to mock Wizkid’s claim that “hip hop is dead.”

After a fan drew Wizkid’s attention to Ladipoe’s post, Wizkid responded, stating, “Lol, never chatting with anyone signed to an influencer. Next.”
Wizkid’s remark was perceived as a slight against the Mavin boss, leading to widespread criticism from several celebrities.
Notable figures such as skit makers Mr Macaroni and Nasboi, and reality TV stars Doyin and Tacha, publicly condemned Wizkid for what they viewed as a disrespectful comment towards the respected Mavin boss.
