A young aspiring politician in Osun State, Comrade Olalekan Fabayo has charged youths in the state not to allow themselves be used as political thugs in the September 22nd Governorship election in the state.
Fabayo, who is a fast growing broadcaster in Osun, gave the charge in Ilesa at a seminar, organized by Osun Youth Arise.
He said the success of the Governorship election in the state depends largely on how Osun youths conduct themselves during and after the election.
Fabayo said:” it is paramount to call on the youths to conduct themselves in a decent manner, and be mindful of the fact that some selfish politicians are banked on using them for personal aggrandisement”.
‘I want to use this medium to charge youths in Osun to exhibit high sense of responsibility, to be law abiding and be patriotic as the guber poll is approaching” he said.
Comrade Olalekan Fabayo who is vying to represent Ila State constituency in the State House of Assembly, advised youths in the state to get involved in the nation’s electoral process, particularly the 2019 general elections, urging them to get their permanent voter cards (PVC’s) and shun monetary inducement.
He also urged young Nigerians to embrace the recently signed Not To Young To Run bill by President Muhammadu Buhari, and dislodge the old politicians, who he said have continued to dominate the political arena of the nation ,with no meaningful development in all facet of our lives as a nation.
