In a statement made by the Governor’s aid on Sunday by his Director-General on Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwon, the governor described those calling for his resignation as political jokes.
He stated that this particular issue of double registration was overrated and overblown by his opponents to score cheap goals.
Governor Bello maintained that the issue was straightforward enough, saying he welcomes the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission to cancel the latter registration.
He noted that the Kogi State House of Assembly will not be blackmailed into reversing the gains of democracy in the state.
