Meanwhile, Osun Defender reports that the atmosphere on campus, yesterday was extremely electric, with students from different faculties and departments gathered to exercise their franchise.

The election at the institution was marked by an uneasy calm, with tension and anticipation palpable in the air.

However, the peaceful atmosphere was shattered by reports of violence among students, who clashed with each other in some faculties, resulting in physical altercations.

The disturbing report of ballot box theft at approximately 5:20 pm yesterday further raised concerns about the integrity of the electoral process. Despite the efforts of university authorities and security personnel to restore order, the violence left many students feeling disillusioned and disenfranchised.

Despite a few hiccups, including delays in the arrival of electoral materials, the theft of a ballot box, and long queues, the voting process ended peacefully.
