Drama As Police Allegedly Convert Stolen Vehicle To Patrol Van
- As Car Owner Cries Out For Help
A man from Warri, Delta State, Oboro Mighty, has cried out for help over his stolen vehicle, which was allegedly converted to use by the state police force.
Mighty, in a viral video, narrated how he lost his car in 2015 but later found out that his car had already been converted into a police vehicle by the Ekpan Division of the Delta State Police Command in 2017 after going to the same police station to make a report about his stolen car.
In the video posted by an X user, CHUKS @ChuksEricE, on Wednesday morning, the man who spoke in Pidgin said, “I went to a church programme on November 13, 2015. After the service, I came out but didn’t see my motor again.

“After hours of searching, I went to Ekpan Police Station to report, and they asked me to go and bring my papers. I brought the papers, and they declared my car had been stolen.
“However, in 2017, I discovered that the police in Ekpan had converted my car that was missing to their own use. I told some people about it and they advised me to go to court. I went to court, and on July 19, 2018, the court ruled that they should pay me N10 million, but instead of paying me, the police appealed the judgment.
“They don’t want to pay me because I have nobody. I’m appealing to Verydarkman to help me because, since that time, things have been hard for me. That car has been my source of livelihood.”
Commenting under the post, the spokesperson of Delta State Police Command, SP. Bright Edafe, in a terse message, wrote, “I will check and revert ASAP.”
