Drama At Wigwe’s Wake As MC Shuns Peter Obi, Fails To Recognise Him (Video)

During the wake ceremony for the late Access Bank founder, Herbert Wigwe, at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Lion of Judah parish in Isiokpo, Rivers State, a minor commotion ensued on Friday.

The cause was attributed to the Master of Ceremonies (MC) inadvertently ignoring the presence of Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).

The incident occurred amidst the somber atmosphere of the wake-keeping, causing a brief interruption in the proceedings.

Recall that the corpses of Wigwe, his wife and his son, arrived in Nigeria on Friday for the final burial happening in Rivers State.

However, at the wake-keeping event, the MC neglected to acknowledge Obi after having previously acknowledged other distinguished guests, resulting in uproar among the attendees.

Following notification of the oversight, the MC promptly apologized, and the former Governor of Anambra State was subsequently acknowledged at the event.
