Drunk Girl Raped In Ogun During Church Event
A 32-year-old man, Gbenga Kolawole, has been arrested by operatives of the Ogun Police Command for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl (name withheld).
The victim Osun Defender gathered reportedly got drunk during an annual church event, paving the way for the suspect to carry out the act.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, Omolola Odutola, said the victim’s mother reported the incident to the police.
The mother according to Odutola said that her 16-year-old daughter who got drunk during an annual church year anniversary celebration on the 6th of November 2023 in Adubi Ogun State was raped.
Odutola quoted the mother as having said that she had taken her daughter to “a nearby bar shop and locked her there.”
She explained that the teenager later “became victim to one Gbenga Kolawole “m” 32yrs who had unlawful carnal knowledge of the drunk girl.”
The Police PRO added that Kolawole was caught in the act by one Sunday Ibrahim of the same address.
“The victim has been taken to Ore Ofe Hospital for medical attention and treatment while the suspect has been arrested for preliminary investigation,” Odutola said.
