DSS Probes Man For Sharing UNIOSUN Graduate’s Nude
The Department of State Security (DSS) is currently probing one Pelumi Aderanti for allegedly sharing nude pictures and video of a female graduate of Osun State University (name withheld) online.
Aderanti, according to a petition sent to the DSS by counsel to the victim, K.E. Ngwoke and Co, a copy obtained by OSUN DEFENDER, also allegedly threatened to kill the lady.
According to the petition, Aderanti approached the lady in December 2023 with a promise to marry her, adding that the suspect had been nothing but an alleged fraudster.
The petition noted that Aderanti had requested money from the lady several times with a threat to kill her if she failed to give him the money.
The petition added that the nude pictures of the lady were taken by Aderanti without the victim’s knowledge.
The suspect was said to have distributed same electronically to WhatsApp and Facebook statuses.
The petition read in part “Our client is a young graduate of Uniosun and is presently waiting for her mobilisation for her one-year compulsory National Youth Service.
“It is our brief that our client met with the suspect, Aderanti Pelumi, sometime in December 2023. The said Aderanti approached our client and ask her out with a promise to marry her which our client accepted unknown to her that Aderanti is nothing but a deceiver and a cheat.
“The said Aderanti Pelumi had severally demanded our client to send him money in any slightest misunderstanding else, he (Aderanti Pelumi) would kill her or show the whole world that she is a ripper and our client in all the occasions would have no choice except to send the money.
“The evil act of Aderanti Pelumi did not end at exploiting our client at any slightest opportunity, he took nude video and pictures of our client without her knowledge and distributed same electronically to WhatsApp and Facebook status and storyline with the caption “beware of this girl because she is ripper that she has duped many people around” a statement which is a pure lie.”
It further added, “Pelumi later carried out his threats as our client was shocked to the marrow when her friends called her attention to the post of her nude video distributed by Aderanti Pelumi electronically. Our client also confirmed this post by herself both WhatsApp and Facebook when Aderanti informed her that he had already distributed the nude video and pictures on WhatsApp and Facebook.
“It is our brief that when our client confronted Aderanti Pelumi on a phone call, he further threatened to kill her should she disturb her on the post anymore stating that he did it intentionally.
“Aderanti Pelumi stated that he distributed the nude because our client to refund him the sum of N40,000.00 (Forty Thousand Naira) he sent to her on her birthday as a gift. Sir, no amount of excuse would exonerate Aderanti Pelumi for distributing electronically, the nude video and pictures of our client as same constitute an offense under our law.
“The act of Aderanti Pelumi has subjected our client to hatred and same as well constitute the offence of Cyberstalking, emotional, verbal and psychological abuse prohibited under Section 24 of the CyberCrime (Prohibition Prevention, etc.) Act, 2015 and Section 15 of the Osun State Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Law, 2021.

“Our client’s life is in palpable danger as we write this petition. She can no longer move in our streets, tread our soil and freely breathe our air just like every other law abiding citizen of this country due to fear of being killed by this unrepentant agent of the devil. She has as well attempted to commit suicide due to the actions of this evil man in human form.”
