Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress becomes the 2021 women’s Afrobasket champions on Sunday.
They defeated Mali 70-59 points in the final match to retain their title in Cameroon.
With the win, D’Tigress has now lifted the African Women Afrobasket title for the third consecutive time.
D’Tigeress is only the second team in Africa to win three consecutive titles after Senegal did the same in the 70s.
