Super Eagles midfielder, Oghenekaro Etebo has said that he is optimistic Nigeria can get the desired result in Johannesburg and return to the Nations Cup after a five-year absence.
The Stoke City of England midfielder, who spoke after the team’s first training session on Tuesday, further added that the team are still well boosted from their last outing against Libya and will at least get a point in South Africa.
“I believe the confidence is high now after our away win in Libya, the task has been made less complicated, a win or a draw will ensure we qualify. It won’t be easy but I’m sure we will get the desired result,” Etebo said.
Having fully recovered from an injury he sustained a few weeks ago, the Stoke City midfielder will no doubt anchor the Eagles’ midfield in the absence of Wilfred Ndidi, Mikel Obi and Ogenyi Onazi.
