Ease Of Doing Business: Osun Not In Top Ten States – Report
Osun State is not among the top 10 states with an enabling business environment for investors in Nigeria.
This was according to the report of the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) 2025
Subnational Ease of Doing Business Report.
The report stated that Lagos took the lead, widening the gap between itself and other subnationals in the race for investor confidence and regulatory efficiency.
According to the report, Lagos secured a 85.6% performance score, while Kaduna trailed with 65.1%.
Oyo, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and Ogun placed third, fourth and fifth with 62.7%, 61.0%, and 59.9% respectively.
Meanwhile, Enugu (56.2%), Plateau (56.2%), Ekiti (55.8%), Kano (54.8%), and Nasarawa (53.4%) completed the top 10.
In its breakdown, PEBEC said the 2025 index reflects “hard administrative evidence, not political claims,” with states assessed across 16 indicators and 36 sub-metrics including electricity reliability, taxation transparency, digital governance, land administration, logistics efficiency, commercial justice delivery, investor support, and skilled labour readiness.
