Ebonyi Commissioner’s Brother Killed By Suspected Armed Robbers
Christopher Igwe, younger brother of Ebonyi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Uchenna Igwe, was shot dead by suspected armed robbers.
The incident occurred along the Ishieke axis of Ebonyi Local Government Area at around 10pm on Monday.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu, confirmed the incident.

SP Ukandu said, “The armed robbers, after attacking a cooking gas selling store, opened fire, and unfortunately, the commissioner’s brother was killed.”
He urged anyone with information about the attack to come forward to assist the police, adding that investigations have been launched to apprehend the perpetrators.
