– Says Regional Body Will Enjoy Effective Leadership
The election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) is a step in the right direction.
Apart from the election further elevating Nigeria’s status as a big brother in the sub-region, the election of the President also confirms that leaders of the black race appreciate the leadership and the ideals of responsible democracy in him.
A federal lawmaker, Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban, congratulated President Tinubu on his emergence as the body’s chair.
Akinremi, who represents Ibadan North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, noted that Tinubu is well equipped to lead the community to achieve its lofty goals of enhanced security and economic cooperation in West Africa.
He assured world leaders that the nation’s leader is a visionary, meticulous, and selfless leader who would always be there for the people and further entrench the tenets of good governance in Nigeria.
“I am not surprised that on your first attendance at ECOWAS, you were unanimously elected to Chair the Union. Your experience, skill, and democratic ideals are ones that world leaders are keenly interested in for more significant results.
“I can bet it that ECOWAS will receive a huge boost while the continent and the West African sub-region will benefit greatly from your people-driven leadership style and governance ethics. Once again, congratulations, Mr. President,”
