Ede Poly ISEC Lifts Ban On Students’ Election Campaign, Sends Warning To Candidates
The Independent Student Electoral Commission, ISEC, of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, has lifted the ban for commencement of campaign activities on the campus.
This was contained in a statement signed by the ISEC Chairman, Adepoju Uthnan and General Secretary, Bello Nofisat.
The ISEC said the lift of ban commenced on Sunday, October 22 and ends on October 30, 2023.
They however warned contesting candidates not involve in violence, adding that any candidate that is caught being violent will be disqualified.
According to the statement, “This is to inforn the entire students of Federal Polytechnic Ede, by the power conferred on me as the ISEC CHAIRMAN for the 2023/2024 SESSION, that the ban has been lifted for the commencement of campaign for electoral activities in the campus.
“Kindly note that the lift of ban will commence today 22nd October, 2023 and expected to end on 30th Oetober, 2023.
“Henceforth, any campaign and/or electoral activities that invoves violence will lead
automatically to DISQUALIFICATION.
“Independent Student Electoral Commission (ISEC) will communicate, in earnest, schedule of every processes in due time.”
