EDITORIAL: Clearing The Desk

In nine days time, a new administration will take over. For continuity all manner of outstanding issues and potential not-so-hidden land mines should be ironed out So far the process of “transition” has been unedifying.

The outgoing government should make a clean breast of the transfer of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to the government of Oyo State. Inconvenient questions have to be answered. They include – how much was paid by the government of Oyo State,  in how many trenches and what are the outstanding obligations if any? Fundamentally the incoming administration and the people of the State of Osun need to know how any money collected from Oyo has been expended. This is an unsatisfactory state of affairs, the outgoing Oyetola government must answer the questions now!
