We wish our teaming readership a very fruitful Good Friday. It should be an occasion for thoughtful reflection and sobriety. On bridled exuberant on a public holiday is clearly a variance with the present mood of a “Palliative-driven existence”. Those who can help the less fortunate in these difficult times must be encouraged to do so. A prominent point about Good Friday is the way the eternal bogeyman Pontius Pilate Keeps cropping up in the narrative. Pontius Pilate has been depicted and accepted by generations as a “Bad Guy”. But, was he really? People should examine themselves as to whether their own conducts is all that is different from the self- serving opportunism of Pontius Pilate. There’s is Pontius plate in most people. The Roman consul was only 18 months away from a very comfortable retirement when Jesus Christ was brought up in front of him. With a young wife and small children, he was hardly going to sacrifice his hard earned retirement. The issue of principle was expedient. This is the unfortunate reality of how many of those in the public fare across the universe conduct themselves, faced with the difficult choice of remaining faithful to principles and personal cost they sacrifice principles. This is the sad reality of human existence. On this Good Friday, we should remember this and strife to live life that are based on principles and Self Sacrifice. Happy Good Friday!!!
