Edo: Okpebholo Assigns Six New Commissioners Portfolios
Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has sworn in six new commissioners into the State Executive Council, assigning them various portfolios.
This development was announced in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Umar Ikhilor, in Benin.
The newly assigned commissioners and their portfolios are: Ministry of Information and Communications, Mr. Paul Ohonbamu; Ministry of Water Resources and Energy Washington Osifo; Ministry of Education, Dr. Emmanuel Iyamu; Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Lucky Eseigbe; Ministry of Mining, Andrew Ijegbai; and Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Olabisi Idaomi.

”Dr Emmanuel Iyamu is assigned the Ministry of Education, Dr Lucky Eseigbe, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and Andrew Ijegbai, Ministry of Mining.
”Similarly, Olabisi Idaomi will lead the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mr Paul Ohonbamu is assigned to the Ministry of Information and Communications, while Washington Osifo will take charge of the Ministry of Water Resources and Energy”.
All commissioners are expected to resume their duties immediately, according to Mr. Ikhilor’s statement.
