Stakeholders of the Omoluabi Progressives, a caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Osun, have been urged to further educate members on its vision, discipline, and the central idea of the Omoluabi ethos.
The Chairman of the caucus, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, held that the values and principles of discipline, contentment, sacrifice, and pragmatic leadership are the basic tenets of progressivism that all members must understand and adopt as a way of life.
Adesiji stated that the mission of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus is to play politics more civilly, with its foundation on transparency and accountability.

He stressed that for aspiring political leaders and holders of government positions, it is key to be thoroughbred in ideology, especially one that is deeply rooted in governance, for mass prosperity.
The ex-council boss gave the admonition, when he met stakeholders of the caucus in Ijesa North (Obokun/Oriade) Federal Constituency, on Tuesday.
Adesiji stated that “Omoluabi Progressives’ style of politics is different. We are not just politicians but progressives who are deeply rooted in pragmatic leadership, with roots in social emancipation and transparency.
“Our values are imbued in discipline, love, and respect for elders, community service, and passion for the prosperity of all. That is what our leaders and forebears in the progressive fold stand for. Ours is more than politics. It is for the total politician who is firmly aware of what it means to work assiduously to emancipate the people.
“As stakeholders, we must return to our localities to explain what the Omoluabi ethos is and how it applies to what we do at the Omoluabi Progressives. It is important to break down every aspect of our vision for our people so they know what we mean and what we stand for.
“We thank all of you for your efforts. By God’s grace, with the support of all at the Obokun/Oriade federal constituency, our bid to reclaim the governance of the state in 2026 will come to fruition. We also welcome our new members, and we want more people to come to our fold. We will reach the promised land, by the grace of the Almighty,” Adesiji emphasised.
While welcoming the team, the Elegboro of Ijebu Ijesa, Oba Moses Olufemi Agunsoye II showered encomiums on the Omoluabi Progressives and called on its leadership to further propagate its mission.
The monarch also sought the cooperation of members for the leadership, stressing that Osun is proud to have someone like Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, who transformed the nooks and crannies of the state and furthered efforts on its developmental aspirations, even while he left office.
The leadership of the Omoluabi Progressives Caucus welcomed new members who just joined the caucus from Oriade Local Government, as well as new entrants in the same constituency who just joined politics, having indicated an interest in aligning with Omoluabi’s vision.
