EFCC Operatives Invade, Arrest Presenters On Live Broadcast

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Monday invaded Enugu-based radio station, Urban 94.5FM.

The radio station disclosed this in a statement seen by Daily Post, noting that the incident happened at about 5:45 pm.

According to the Radio station, the EFCC operatives forcefully abducted presenters and took away communication equipment.

“Whilst we are following up with the matter, we will continue to inform our dear listeners accordingly through this medium.

“Once again we apologize for the unethical break-in into our live studio and the disruption of your favorite programs and hope that the matter will be resolved as soon as possible and for whatever the reasons,”  the statement reads.

Meanwhile, efforts to speak with the spokesperson of EFCC, Dele Oyewale, on Tuesday morning proved abortive as he had yet to reply to a text message as of the time of filing this report, Daily Post reports.
