EFCC Orders Arrest Of Dismissed Staff Caught On Lege Miami’s Matchmaking Show
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has ordered the arrest of one of its dismissed staff, Olakunle Alex Folarin, after he was spotted participating in a matchmaking programme on the social media platforms of entertainer, Lege Miami.
The anti-graft agency, in a statement on Monday via its official X handle, said Folarin, who served as a driver at the Ibadan Zonal Directorate, was sacked after investigations revealed that he forged his academic credentials.
The EFCC described his involvement in the online show as embarrassing and misleading, stressing that his actions should not be associated with the commission.
According to the statement, EFCC Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, directed that Folarin be arrested for unlawfully retaining some commission property, including an identity card, which ought to have been returned upon his dismissal.
The EFCC further warned the public against linking Folarin’s post-dismissal conduct to the agency, insisting that the former driver had ceased to be a staff member since his sack over certificate forgery.
