A Caucus of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State of Osun, the Osun Progressives (TOP) has called on Muslims, especially of the party’s stock to continue to be pious in their conducts and behaviours as the special month of Ramadan ends.
The Osun Progressives (TOP) in a message to mark the Sallah said it is only by perpetually avoiding all the unholy things they abhorred during the month of Ramadan that sanity can return to Nigeria.
APC TOP made the admonition in a press statement released by the Chairman of the group, Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi, made available to Osun Defender Correspondent in osogbo on Wednesday.
According to him, “the purpose of Ramadan is to deny individual comfort so as to get God’s favour, saying it is only God’s favour that can uphold a nation in crisis as we have now.
“Adherence to the tenets of Ramadan is capable of resolving all problems and ensuring that there is reprieve from the present reproach which Nigerians are going through”.
The Osun APC Caucus who noted that the state has benefited immensely from the governments hoisted the progressive party urged since 2010 called for continued support for and a repose of confidence in the progressives as it noted that there is more goodies in the party’s kitty which have the people as the centre point of everything they do.
He stated categorically that it will be in the interests of individuals and the larger society to always trust and choose the Progressives party at all times as they are always responsible and responsive to the yearnings of the people by ensuring dividends of democracy goes round the people at all times.
The T.O.P then called for moderate celebrations at the Eid and wishes all a happy Sallah.
