Ejigbo LG Renovates Markets, Commended

Market men and women in Ejigbo Local Government Council Area of the State of Osun have appreciated the administration of Honourable Gbenga Ayegbayo in the council for series of developmental programmes towards boosting commercial activities.

According to a statement by the council’s Information Officer, Iroko Gershon, the market women made the commendations during a series of interview with some of them.

The statement read: “The administration of Honourable Gbenga Ayegbayo has fulfilled part of his campaign promises he made.

“He promised the market women that if he is elected as the chairman, his first assignment would be to complete renovation of Ode Bara market which he fulfilled.

Aggregating their views, the statement noted that the market women lamented how they suffered greatly, saying, especially during raining season the roofs would leak and their goods would get spoilt.

It added that the market women appreciated the administration and urged the council boss to do more towards the development of the council’s economy.

According to the statement, some other projects executed by the administration are, purchase of 300KVA transformer, grading of dilapidated roads in all the five wards in the mother council, distribution of chemicals and cutlasses to farmers, purchase of brand new Sienna bus for the parliamentarians.

Others, the statement noted are, repair of 50 boreholes in Ejigbo among many others.
