‎The Ayodele David-Adesua Campaign Organization (ADACO) has strongly condemned the arson attack on the newly established secretariat of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, describing the incident as a barbaric and cowardly assault on democracy and the collective will of the people.

‎In a statement signed by its Director-General, Dr. Ayokunle Olusegun, ADACO described the attack as “barbaric, desperate, and politically motivated,”.

‎The organisation alleged that it was orchestrated by “enemies of progress who fear the growing strength and unity of the ADC ahead of the forthcoming elections.”

‎According to the statement, the organisation believes the incident is part of a larger plot to destabilize the ADC and discourage its members from pursuing the party’s mission to “Rescue, Rebuild, and RISE Ekiti.”

‎“This criminal attack is a direct assault on democracy, decency, and the collective aspiration of Ekiti people for good governance,” the statement read.

‎ADACO urged party members, supporters, and stakeholders not to be intimidated by the act but to remain resolute and united in the struggle to end corruption, oppression, and bad governance in the state.

‎“This is a defining moment for our party. Unity is our greatest weapon and solidarity our strongest defense. Together, we must rise above intimidation and work relentlessly to present a common front capable of defeating tyranny and restoring hope to Ekiti people,” the organization added.

‎The campaign group further called on security agencies to investigate the incident thoroughly and bring the perpetrators to justice, emphasizing that acts of political violence must not be allowed to undermine the democratic process in Ekiti State.

‎“Now is the time — to stand together, fight together, and win together,” the statement concluded.
