Ellen DeGeneres And Partner Flee US After Trump’s Victory
Talk show host and comedian Ellen DeGeneres, along with her partner, actor Portia de Rossi, have reportedly left the United States following Donald Trump’s second presidential victory.
According to TMZ, the couple, who had already purchased a home in the Cotswolds, England, made the decision to relocate after Trump’s win in the 2024 elections.
Sources with direct knowledge of the move revealed that Ellen and Portia were deeply disillusioned by Trump’s victory and decided to leave the country shortly after the results were announced.
The couple has since settled in their new home in the scenic region of South West England, about two hours from London.

The move may be permanent, as the couple reportedly listed their house in Montecito, California. Ellen and Portia had previously sold another mansion for $96 million.
In September, Ellen, an outspoken supporter of Kamala Harris, had expressed her support for Harris’ campaign, donating $3,300 and stating, “There’s nothing more powerful than a woman whose time has come!! I can’t wait for @KamalaHarris to be our next president.”
The celebrity couple now joins other famous figures, such as David and Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss, who reside in the picturesque countryside of England.
