Emirship Tussle: Kano Police Enforce Ban On Protest, Demonstration As Court Rules Today
Ahead of the court ruling regarding the outcome of the Kano Emirship tussle, the State Police Command has called on the public to remain peaceful and patriotic, warning that anyone found instigating violence in the state will be severly dealt with.
This is contained in a statement issued by its spokesman, SP Abdullahi Jigawa, in Kano on Thursday.
Kiyawa reiterated the commitment of the command to protect lives and property while warning against any attempt to incite violence.
โIn collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, the command will strictly enforce the ban on public protests, processions, and unlawful gatherings imposed by the state government.

โViolators and their sponsors will face legal consequences.
โAdequate security personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order.
โThe public is urged to cooperate with the security forces and provide actionable information to preserve peace and detect deviants.
โNon-state actors, including vigilantes and hunters, are advised to refrain from participating in security operations under any guise,โ he said.
