Encomiums As Aregbesola’s DoP, Com. Tiamiyu Celebrates 50th Birthday

It was an event of accolades as Comrade Semiu Abiodun Tiamiyu, the Director of Protocol to the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, marked his golden jubilee on Sunday, January 1st.

The well attended event, was graced by family, friends, colleagues, associates and well-wishers who thronged Minders, Owode-Ede, the venue of the event to shower encomiums on him.

Those who spoke at the event, including the Personal Assistant to the minister, Comrade Olateju Ishola, the celebrator’s daughter – Arinola, colleagues in the civil service, family members and friends lauded Tiamiyu’s enviable personality.

They all remarked that the celebrator is a trailblazer, hard-working, kindhearted, committed and deeply rooted technocrat whose penchant for quality and uplifting persons is unrivalled.

The speakers also attested to his dexterity, purpose driven and focused approach in dealing with confounding issues, which stands him out among his peers.

In his remarks, Ishola said: “If you are looking for one of those who served the administration of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in Osun meritoriously and committedly, it is Comrade Tiamiyu. He was disciplined, meticulous, focused and committed to seeing the people around him grow.

“He has done so much for people and that is why everyone is celebrating him. He is a golden fish wherever he goes. He redefined a lot of things in public service.”

Others, including Mrs Kemi Tiamiyu also noted: “We are grateful for the gift of you. You bring everyone together so much that you are the rallying point. The family is glad that you are with us and will forever cherish you. We wish you prosperous years in the land of the living.”

In his remarks, the celebrator, Comrade Abiodun Tiamiyu appreciated everyone for celebrating him.

He thanked God for giving him the grace to impact positively on people and other good things he has been able to do in the life of many, and the opportunity to work with Aregbesola.

The Director of Protocol to the Minister of Interior said his desire is to in the years ahead be the source of happiness for many, and contribute a lot to the growth of humanity.

The celebrant was born 50 years ago to Mr & Mrs Aremu Tiamiyu of Olorisaoko compound of Ikire in Irewole LG of Osun State.

A barrister at Law, Comrade Abiodun Tiamiyu graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1998, before becoming a Legal Practitioner in 2012.

He is blessed with years of rich experience in the Civil and Public Service, serving under successive administrations in the State of Osun from 2001 to 2019, when he was appointed as the Director of Protocol to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
