Young children on Saturday joined other protesters in Adamawa State for the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria and hunger protest, chanting “there’s hunger in the land, President Tinubu.”

According to SaharaReporters, the protesters included kids aged 8 to 11, who categorically demanded the immediate return of subsidy on petroleum products, particularly Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The minors gathered at the Grade Interchange and Underpass to press home their demands.

Speaking to SaharaReporters in Hausa, eight-year old Mohammed said “I had to join the protest because I’m hungry. Cost of living has become unbearable in our country.

“The government must bring down the prices of food items like, rice, beans, yam and other staples.

“We, the underaged, are accordingly demanding the restoration of fuel subsidy; this is our stand and we are not backing down,” he stressed.

Similarly, Mubarak, 11, said hunger has become unbearably unacceptable. He therefore called on the president to “listen to the voice of the people and cut down the costs of goods and services in the country.”
